What Are The National Core Arts Standards?

A process that guides educators in providing a unified quality arts education for students in Pre-K through high school.

National Core Arts Standards: A Conceptual Framework, is a narrative document that outlines the philosophy, primary goals, dynamic processes, structures, and outcomes that shape student learning and achievement in dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts, as articulated in the National Core Arts Standards. 

Artistic Processes are the cognitive and physical actions by which arts learning and making are realized. National Core Arts Standards are based on the artistic processes of Creating; Performing/ Producing/Presenting; Responding; and Connecting.
